1. Who we are
This website is an information site of The Motor List. It presents the vehicles we currently offer; no purchases or payments are made on the site. The data controller is:

2. What data we process
Contact form. If you send us a message, we process your name, email address and/or phone number, the car you are asking about and your message – only to answer your enquiry.
- Legal basis: your request / steps before a possible contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Retention: until your enquiry is closed, at most 12 months – unless it leads to a purchase, in which case the documents required by law are kept for the statutory period.
Email and Telegram. If you contact us by email or Telegram, we use the data you share (name, contact details, message) in the same way and for the same purpose. Telegram is operated by Telegram Messenger Inc. under its own privacy policy.
Technical data. When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data (IP address, browser type, time of the request) to deliver the pages and to protect the site against attacks. We do not use this data to identify you. When you submit the contact form, we additionally store a one-way hash of your IP address next to your message, only to detect and slow down automated spam bursts; it cannot be turned back into your IP address.
3. Cookies and analytics
The public website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Your language choice (EN / HU) is stored only in your own browser (localStorage). A single strictly necessary cookie is set only when our staff sign in to the administration area. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free tool that only counts aggregated page views and load times – it does not collect your IP address, does not set any cookie or identifier, and cannot track you across other websites.
4. Who receives the data
We do not sell your data or pass it on for marketing. The website and the contact-form messages are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, which acts as our processor. Its servers may be located outside the EU; the transfer is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses / EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
5. Your rights
When email notifications are enabled, contact-form details are also transmitted through Resend to our office mailbox so we can respond to your enquiry.
You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing, data portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Just write to us at the email address above – we answer within one month.
If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11, naih.hu) or turn to the court.
